2014-01-30-Gainesville, FL-Itzack Perlman with John & Kris

After a quick visit to the Florida Museum of Natural History we had dinner in Gainesville with John and Kris at Manuel's Vintage Room, an excellent restaurant with an intimate atmosphere and outstanding food. Kris surprised us with tickets for an Itzak Perlman concert at the University of Florida's magnificent performing arts center. Perlman is widely recognized as the world's premier violinist. The concert was sponsored by Gainesville Magazine, where Kris heads Advertising and Marketing. After the concert, for which we had nearly front row seats, we joined Mr. Perlman and a small group of folks from Gainesville Magazine for a "meet and greet". Mr. Perlman was gracious, funny, witty and very friendly, a joy to be with. Truly a night to remember.
