This album will provide viewers with a look at Jack's new environment in Evanston, Illinois, a beautiful leafy community on the shores of Lake Michigan, just north of Chicago. Evanston has many beautiful and stately homes, churches and parks and is the home of Northwestern University. Jack lives in the heart of downtown Evanston in close proximity to Raymond Park, commuter train and "El" transportation to Chicago, numerous restaurants, pubs and coffee shops and he is only a five minute bike ride to Northwestern University's beautiful campus. There are no fewer than seven historic churches within a three minute walk of Jack's apartment, and the spires of a few can be seen from Jack's apartment. Northwestern's campus buildings are a mixture of Victorian Gothic structures and impressive modern buildings. Jack has a very nice graduate school location.

Alice Millar Chapel, Northwestern University's interfaith Chapel

The Alice S. Millar Chapel and Religious Center (1962) was the gift of Foster G. McGaw, a University trustee, and his wife, Mary. Its 720-seat chapel was named in honor of Mr. McGaw's mother, Alice S. Millar McGaw. Designed by Jensen and Halstead of Chicago, it houses a 100-rank Aeolian Skinner organ and is distinguished by its magnificent stained-glass windows and a 151-foot spire.

University Hall, Northwestern University

University Hall (1869) is the oldest building on campus. It was designed by Gurdon P. Randall and took three years to construct. The high-Victorian Gothic building was made with the same type of Joliet limestone that was used in the historic Chicago Water Tower. Now the home of the English department, it originally housed a chapel, a museum, classrooms, a library, and meeting rooms. The clock in University Hall's highest tower, with a movement built by Seth Thomas, was the gift of the class of 1879. The bells were the gift of the class of 1880. In the west entryway of University Hall is a sign bearing the name 'Old College.' This sign hung above the main entrance of Old College, the first building at the University, completed in 1855 and razed in 1973.
