2015-10-17-Evanston, IL & South Bend, IN-ND-USC Weekend

After flying into O'Hare, I drove to Jim's and Susan's beautiful home in Kenilworth. Jim and I spent the afternoon together running errands and having lunch. In the late afternoon, I drove to nearby Evanston, picked Jack up after his classes at Northwestern and we returned to Jim's and Susan's who treated us to a fantastic dinner. On Friday, Jack and I drove to South Bend. We walked around the campus in the afternoon and in the evening had dinner at Carmela's Italian restaurant with Mark, Sig, Jim, Susan, Bill and Gary. A great evening with old friends. On Saturday, Mark and Sig hosted their traditional tailgate and, as usual, everyone had a fine time. In the evening, the Fighting Irish football team did their part by defeating USC 41-31 in a seesaw game with a dramatic fourth quarter comeback by ND.
