Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio, Texas is the largest military medical training facility in the world. After 5 months of training here, Gabe graduated from Combat Medic School as a member of Delta Company, 232nd Medical Battalion. He received a commendation from the Army for finishing 7th among 300 soldiers on the Army Physical Fitness Test and also ranked in the top 15 % of his class in Combat Medic School. His next stop will be paratrooper training at Fort Benning, Georgia. After the graduation ceremony Gabe was free so we went back to rest briefly at our Bed and Breakfast and then visited the Alamo. Finally, we enjoyed a celebration dinner at one of our favorite Brazilian restaurants, Fogo de Chao.
