With a snowy Nor'easter bearing down on Boston, we moved our departure for St Kitts up by a day and it's a good thing we did because our original flight was ultimately cancelled. Ours was one the last flights out of BOS before Logan Airport was shut down because of the weather. We had to fly BOS-CLT-MIA and stayed at an airport hotel in Miami, arriving at 2 AM. At 11AM we flew MIA-St Kitts, arriving mid-afternoon on Friday 1/3. After picking up our rental car, we drove to the Ocean Terrace Inn, a small, charming 50 year old resort just outside of the capital, Basseterre. We were very happy to have dodged the weather bullet up north, and settled in to enjoy a week in the Caribbean.
