The Black Rocks
Black Rocks is the name of a notable rock formation on the northeastern coast of the island of Saint Kitts. Located close to the town of Saddlers, the rocks consist of lava flow from the volcanic Mount Liamuiga which dominates the northern half of the island of Saint Kitts.

Somehow, when we circumnavigated the big part of St Kitts on our second day here, we missed one of the island's most notable and impressive physical features-The Black Rocks. So we doubled back to the northwest coast to see them and were glad we did. Since it was the last day with the rental car, we went shopping in Basseterre and stocked up our apartment in the Marriot Resort, where we relocated yesterday from the much smaller Ocean Terrace Inn.
