Georgia did not want a "big party" for her 60th birthday so I told her we'd just have a small dinner at home. Unbeknownst to her, I conspired with her friends Laurie, Paul and Chris, our son Jack and her sister Lee to come to Cohasset to surprise her. My co-conspirators in organizing this ruse were Britt and Liz. On Friday Chris, Laurie and Paul gathered at Liz's house in Hull overlooking the ocean and, with Georgia thinking we were going to Liz's for birthday cocktails was totally surprised by her old college friends who came up from Charleston and New York. Liz prepared a spectacular Lobster dinner and we all enjoyed a great evening. On Saturday, Jack showed up from Manhattan in the morning and Lee in the afternoon, again surprising and delighting Georgia whose head was spinning from all the unexpected visitors. On Saturday evening, we were joined by the Masottas for a great feast at Windy Hill prepared mainly by Britt, capping off a memorable weekend for Georgia.
